H &J Fox Trotters
On our ranch we have only bred to our stallion, Snip's Gold Man. He has sired many fine colts for us and other breeders. His disposition is as Gold as he is beautiful. Our mares are all well bred and nicely gaited with good dispositions. Most of them can be seen here.
Our colts are imprinted before birth and socialized very gently. All the early training is done with a calm nature and positive actions rewarded with a kind word and gentle touch. Our colts are taught many things before they are a year old. They lunge, stand tied and trailer well, and are good for the farrier work . All of them get their feet worked on very regularly. They are easy to administer their vaccination and wormers to. Gentle to the touch anywhere. By year two they know their round pen activities and are being driven under saddle. They are ponied behind a sound mount into the mountains behind the our home.
They have grazed the mountains, been over bridges played in the canal. They have seen live stock and wild life native to this area such as deer, elk and moose, coyote and fox. They have been around farm equipment, automobiles, trains, and 4 wheelers. They know our dogs.
We allow them three years for bone development before we send them off to a professional trainer, who puts 30 days on them. We bring them home to ride them here. They are very well rounded individuals, they are easy to be with. Sound and very social. Beautifully bred and make their owners proud.
" Your visit to the ranch is well appreciated"
