BLACK FOXTROTTERS
Homozygous Black is a rare coat color in the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed. Adult homozygous Black horses have black bodies and black points without any brown or red hairs anywhere on the body. They retain their black color year around, although truly black horses will vary somewhat in the depth, or shade of the black color and typically born almost silver or slate grey color and shed out to black although sometimes born black.
Smoky Black is a creme dilution of Black. Most black horses in the MFT breed may also have a red gene. It is recommended potential buyers interested in purchasing HZ Black horses request dna color test results.
